This would allow the music company’s fans to pay in digital currencies like BTC, ETH, and also UTC token when they buy merchandise from the kompakt.fm website.

According to the announcement, Utrust is said to offer low fees, near-instant transaction speeds and buyer protection. Moreover the Founder of Kompakt and Cologne-based musician, Michael Mayer said in a statement:

Musically, we’ve embraced everything technology has had to offer, and now we are very excited to be doing this for the business side as well. Utrust is exactly the partner we needed to take this step.

The announcement did not disclose the funds involved in the integration but music fans on crypto-twitter welcomed the move.
