[Blockchain Today Reporter Park Yohan] Animoka brand (hereinafter Animoka) announced that it will release two distributed ledger-based games with the Hedera Hashgraph Foundation based on the acquired Helix Accelerator (Helix).
Animoka, Helix, and Hedera Hashgraph are planning to release a non-fungible token (NFT) soccer game using the intellectual property rights (IP) of various real famous soccer clubs owned by Animoka. The game provides NFT assets that can be traded with HBAR, a unique cryptocurrency on the public network of Hedera Hashgraph. NFT assets can be exchanged for HBAR after a certain period of time, which means that for the first time, NFTs can be exchanged for fixed and guaranteed cryptocurrency assets.
Animoka, Helix, and Hedera Hashgraph also announced that they will jointly develop and launch Helix Warp, an independent and decentralized online gaming platform. The platform aims to be a fair and decentralized game product ecosystem, and is designed to prevent chronic cheating (cheating) in online multiplayer games. Helix Warp plans to prevent fraud by creating a simulation environment on the server side and recording the results using the Hedera consensus service. Game developers can participate in Helix Warp and add features to prevent hacking into the game. Helix Warp first supports games based on the HTML5 standard and utilizes Helix Warp tokens for the ecosystem.
The Hedera Consensus Service and the Hedera Token Service provide the technical foundation for the services mentioned above. The Hedera Consensus service will serve as a reliable foundation for any kind of application or authorized network, and will also enable the creation of persistent and verifiable log messages. The Hedera Token Service enables rapid transfer, configuration, and management of unique tokens and NFTs without paying expensive transmission costs or high error-prone smart contracts.
