About Corda Developer Training Class
Corda training is an intensive, structured two-day course for developers. This course will provide developers with the key skills necessary to develop financial grade distributed applications on the Corda platform.
Corda is an open-source distributed ledger platform designed to record, manage and automate legal agreements between businesses. It offers a unique response to the privacy and scalability challenges facing decentralised applications. Corda is the culmination of a collaborative effort with over 70 of the world’s largest financial institutions.
On course completion, participants will leave with the ability to develop CorDapps (applications on Corda), as well as understand the security, network design and other key aspects of Corda’s architecture. Sessions will be provided directly by the team building the Corda platform.

About the Blockchain for Lawyers class
Blockchains, Smart Contracts & ICO’s – What Lawyers Need to Know.
This 1-hour class will be conducted by Blockmatics.
Over $1 billion dollars worth of cryptocurrency has been invested into entities in the first six months of 2017 using a novel fundraising method called an ICO or Initial Coin Offering. These crowd funding mechanisms use cryptocurrency as a way to collect value from investors and in return provide those investors with a token that is crucial within that businesses architecture.
ICO’s, however, are just one use case of blockchain technology. This 1-hour briefing will include an introduction to blockchain, cryptocurrencies and smart contracts. The speakers will then highlight the broad range of legal issues raised by various applications of this technology and the legal and regulatory responses to date.
