Learn about verified, distributed computations in the cloud using Ethereum
Bitcoin took the world by surprise in the year 2009 and popularized the idea of decentralized secure monetary transactions. The concepts behind it, however, can be extended to much more than just digital currencies. Ethereum attempts to do that, marrying the power of decentralized transactions with a Turing-complete contract system.
In this event, we will take a closer look at Practical Applications and Ethereum.
- What is Ethereum
- Ethereum community and innovation mechanisms
- The decentralized application landscape
- Interacting with Ethereum: Included exercise: Account creation, transaction auditing and interaction with a smart contract
- Smart contract complexity and risks: The DAO
- Blockchain Innovation Brainstorming and Q&A
Included activity – Guided discussion and brainstorming of blockchain technology
About The Instructor
Since 2013, Gurinder Bhangoo has been involved with Cryptocurrencies when he made his first Bitcoin GPU mining rig. Currently, he is the Director of Blockchain Technology for Fair Trade who have built a Ridesharing app built on a forked Ethereum Blockchain. His first Presentation at the Sunnyvale Plug & Play Tech Center was back in 2014. Now he is teaching Ethereum Smart Contracts on the road (with Blockchain Innovation Lab) for Developers, Managers, & Enterprises. His knowledge of multiple Blockchains is useful for people who are trying to learn through the haze of this rapidly growing industry.
He is actively building two Mobile Apps “BlockSteps” & “MarketMe” which are both built on Ethereum Blockchains. Gurinder’s seminars involve a lot of student engagement and real-world examples to help his peers learn a lot faster than in the traditional educational route.
