ASEAN countries have the potential to become innovation hubs with a young population well connected to new global technological developments, along with an increasingly highly educated labour market. The rise of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and robotics present interesting opportunities to tackle some of the large-scale economic challenges in South East Asia.
According to the Global Innovation Index in 2019, South East Asia is at the third place globally in terms of innovation. Singapore leads the region with a high score in most of the indicators. Vietnam has also made significant progress in 2019 (3rd in South East Asia), with improvements observed in human capital and research, market sophistication, and knowledge and technology outputs.
The ‘Open Innovation Perspectives: Singapore and Vietnam’ event will be a collaborative platform for both Singapore and Vietnam to exchange ideas and opportunities in the technology landscape. Such dynamics could create the basis for the generation of new knowledge and innovation, thereby increasing productive knowledge sharing and opportunities for collaboration between both countries.
Come join us as we discuss the open innovation culture and possible collaborations in the tech ecosystem between Singapore and Vietnam.
