ISMS certification is a system that examines the suitability of the information protection management system established, managed, and operated by a company to protect major information assets according to certification standards. ISMS certification is one of the requirements for reporting a virtual asset business entity under the Special Fund Act along with an anti-money laundering (AML) system and real-name verification account, and virtual asset business operators who do not meet these requirements will no longer be able to operate after the enforcement of the Special Fund Act. .
Poblegate is known to have prepared the exchange in consideration of the amendment to the Special Provisions Act since its inception.
An official at Poblegate said, “It only takes about 4-6 months for ISMS certification. “At the same time as the launch, we have formed an information security TF team and have been conducting information protection and personal information protection supervision through KCA, an external supervisor, for 6 months from October last year.” Told.
Meanwhile, Poblegate has grown to become a major domestic cryptocurrency exchange, receiving high praise in all items such as the number of visitors, transaction price, and brand reputation within a year since its first opening in 2019. Poblegate achieved the 3rd place in the domestic exchange for brand reputation based on the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute, and in November last year, it took the third place in Korea in terms of transaction price based on coin market cap.
