Will you go to jail if you do an ICO or is it the way to fund a Unicorn?
The bad reputations built up by some of the ICOs are not slowing down the trends in the market – Some People still want to do one.
You can’t deny that an ICO is a good way of fundraising – The entry threshold is low for both fundraisers and investors; Good ideas don’t get killed by trivial documentation processes; The community effect contributes to the project itself by increasing users and stimulating product development.
However, it’s also obvious that global regulators cannot decide what a token or a coin actually is. The Howey Test seems to be the standard, but hey, it also arrives at different reasonable outcomes and interpretations. Tests are like horoscopes; You get good ones as well as bad ones.
As an about-to service provider to the cryptocurrency space, Keybox decided that its first meetup should be about the legitimacy of such fundraising methods. Not only do we want to know about opinions from lawyers, ICO successors and blockchain solution providers, but also we are interested in regulatory trends as they are important for market movers in the next 6 months up to 5 years.
Join the discussion on Tuesday 17th July, from 18:30 to 21:00 at Cocoon Networks, to learn about ICO trends and perhaps make the right decision for your team and budget.
