Talk & Trade is a facilitated group discussion about current affairs in the blockchain and crypto world. Discussions range from trading and technical analysis to technological advances, development updates and news to the philosophies of cryptocurrencies. Often, special guests present and panel discussions take place in the first 15 minutes, followed by a 45 minute facilitated discussion. Afterwards, feel free to stick around and network with your fellow crypto enthusiasts.

Speakers:

Tracy Kuhrt, Community Architect, Hyperledger
Tracy is community architect of Hyperledger at the Linux Foundation. Tracy has had a varied career working in the automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical, microelectronics, and ecommerce industries. Previously, Tracy was a principal member of the technical staff on the strategic architecture team at PayPal and developed compilers, assemblers, and linkers for 8- and 16-bit microcontrollers at Microchip Technologies, using open source software.

Daniela Barbosa, The Linux Foundation, Hyperledger, VP World Wide Alliances
Daniela Barbosa serves as Vice President of World Wide Alliances at Hyperledger, where she is responsible for the full lifecycle management of Hyperledger’s membership community while overseeing the broader industry and business community outreach and network growth. Daniela has developed and led growth and innovation strategies for more than 18 years with a background working with financial services, media, and enterprise software. Daniela has led both partnerships and alliances teams as well as marketing and has been responsible for driving global partnerships, OEM integrations, market leadership, and global brand awareness. Daniela has a Master’s degree in library and information science from Rutgers University. A self-diagnosed information and data junkie, she is fascinated by trends in data and content delivery and consumption.

Julian Gordon, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Hyperledger
Julian is Vice President, Asia, for Hyperledger, the Linux Foundation open source collaborative project created to advance cross-industry blockchain. Julian started his career in London, working in technology within banking at HSBC, Lloyds Bank and Kleinwort Benson. He then spent the past 20-plus years in Asia Pacific business development and leadership roles within leading technology companies HP, Sun Microsystems, Juniper Networks and Cisco. He is a strong advocate for open source and the truly transformational potential of blockchain. Julian has a BA (Hons) in Systems Analysis from the University of West of England. He is based in Hong Kong, where he was born, and is married with two children.

*Please Note* Absolute newcomers to Blockchain & Cryptocurrency are advised to attend the monthly Bitcoin 101 and/or Ethereum 101 workshops before attending the Talk & Trade, as the discussion gets pretty deep!
