It is reported that the “Private Luohu Digital RMB Red Packet” event is funded by Luohu District, Shenzhen. A certain amount of funds will be distributed to the Shenzhen personal digital RMB wallet in the form of a digital RMB red packet through lottery. This event is for individuals in Shenzhen. A 10 million yuan “gift Luohu digital RMB red envelope” was issued, each with a value of 200 yuan, and the total number of red envelopes is 50,000.
Data shows that as of 24:00 on October 18, 2020, 47,573 successful individuals have successfully received the “Luohu Digital RMB Red Packet”, 62,788 transactions were made using red packets, with a transaction amount of 8.764 million yuan. It is worth noting that some of the winning individuals also recharged their digital wallets, with a recharge consumption amount of 901,000 yuan. In addition, after this event, the digital wallet of the winning individual can be used normally. More than 3,000 merchants participating in this event have completed the digital renminbi system transformation, and they can still accept digital renminbi payments normally after the event.
