[Blockchain Today Reporter Seung-won Jeong] The NFT version of cyber perfume has been auctioned off Ralible.
According to Cointelegraph reports, Look Labs, a modern beauty and lifestyle studio founded in Berlin, Germany, launched the first digital perfume encoded with an irreplaceable token (NFT), demonstrating the desire for continued growth of digital art.
This fragrance is a digital version of the unisex cyber fragrance launched in October 2020 with a focus on environmental protection and sustainability management. It was designed as an NFT collectible in collaboration with Montreal-based artist Sean Caruso.
“The physical fragrance of the cyber perfume was extracted using near-infrared spectroscopy and expressed in the work itself in the form of spectral data,” said Look Labs.
Regarding the NFT design, Caruso said, “It was inspired by the original packaging of the physical perfume bottle.” “I was inspired by the original packaging and bottles of Cyber āāPerfume while creating the NFT. I created photorealistic renderings of bottles with NIR data represented by illuminated labels and colorful spectrograms, unlike a Gigeresque-style platter. I wanted it.”
There are only 10 of these NFTs that can be auctioned at Rarible. Each of the 10 released works is provided with an actual collector’s edition of Cyber āāPerfume, and has a printed OLED label that lights up red when you press the button.
In recent months, digital collectibles have been hitting the irreplaceable token market, gaining popularity not only among cryptocurrency enthusiasts but also mainstream audiences. In response, some analysts said, “The market is overheating as billions of dollars are being flown into the NFT platform.”
