The Ethereum 2.0 testnet Pyrmont will perform the first hard fork of the Ethereum beacon chain to upgrade Altair on August 19. Altair is a relatively small beacon chain update of Ethereum. The main content of the upgrade includes changes to Ethereum 2.0 pledge parameters and rewards and punishments calculations, and the introduction of synchronization committees for the realization of light clients. Altair launched the Alpha version in May of this year, and switched from the Alpha version to the Beta version in mid-July.
Earlier, the core developer of the Ethereum Foundation, Danny Ryan, published an article on the official Ethereum blog announcing that the first upgrade of the beacon chain, Altair, has made steady progress . It also stated that the focus of work after the successful deployment of the Ethereum beacon chain update Altair will shift to the merger of Eth1 and Eth2.
In addition, BitDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization that aims to promote the development of open finance, will issue token BIT on the SushiSwap Launchpad platform MISO on August 16. This is also BitDAO’s first token issuance, and plans to use the Dutch auction format to auction a total of 200 million BIT tokens. BitDAO is a DAO-oriented fund library, and BIT token is an effective channel to promote community collaboration.
