Blockchain developer Xverse announced on the 26th that it will launch a metaverse service’Romong’ (RO: MONG) targeting MZ generation (a term that combines millennials and generation Z born after 1995) in the first half of the year.

Users can decorate their avatars in the virtual world of Romong and realize what they usually want. Users whose dreams of becoming a singer can busking or hold small concerts in the metaverse world without burden, and users who wish to run a cafe can create a cafe. Users can purchase and enjoy assets such as buildings and cars that they usually want to own.

Xverse plans to apply blockchain technology to check whether digital assets created by users in Metaverse are forged or altered and the ownership of participants. An Xverse official said, “By combining metaverse technology and blockchain, we support the ability to convert the achievements of economic activities in the virtual world into real-world currencies.”

Romong users can acquire’Xverse Token’ as a reward by participating in the construction and expansion of the virtual world, which can be traded in the market or shared with other users to create substantial economic value. Some assets can be issued as non-replaceable assets (NFTs) to secure content and asset ownership rights.

On the other hand, metaverse is a compound word of’meta’, a Greek word meaning’transcendence, and more,’ and’universe’ meaning the world. It refers to a world where value can be created, owned, and invested to receive rewards. The metaverse industry is recently called’the next version of the Internet’ and is receiving a lot of attention.
