If you think about starting a business or startup, but you are not sure how, or maybe you just embarked on the startup journey on your own or as part of a team – this course is for you. No prior knowledge is needed and any industry is invited.
About This Workshop
This 1.5-hour workshop will assist in learning the basics of starting a business. Learn how you can turn your ideas into action and fast track your success. Our workshop provides a complete overview of start-up business basics that any aspiring entrepreneur shouldn’t miss out on. If you have a business idea, or possibly just started your own business, this workshop is perfect for you.

- How can the market be analyzed?
This course will walk you through the basics of startups and include a practical session to create your own idea and pitch and get personalized feedback.
We’ll talk about previous successes and failures and learn from mistakes of other businesses. We’ll talk about what’s needed on the journey from idea to execution, what is a minimum viable product, how to check the riskiest assumption, go to market strategies, pitch, raising money, and more.

- What is the minimum you need to build to prove the market? (MVP/RAT)
- How do you pitch your idea to customers and investors?
- What should be your go to market strategy?
- How can you get traction for your product/business?
- The art of experimenting to achieve growth
- What’s inside the mind of a US investor? How can you raise money?
Workshop Summary
- We’ll begin with stories of success and failures of some of the more famous companies and how we can learn from them.
- How do you think of a business idea and how can it be validated? What theories can be tested to see if our idea will work?
- What is the minimum you need to build to prove the market? What is MVP and why RAT is preferred to be used and prove the riskiest assumption?
- How do you pitch your idea to customers and investors? The good and bad about elevator pitches; leading with emotions and pain/fear etc.
- What should be your go to market strategy? How can you get traction for your product? What traction method will work for you and your business?
- How can you differentiate yourself to get your customer’s attention?
- What’s inside the mind of a US investor? How can you raise money?
- We’ll then work on a real idea, build a pitch and investor deck to practice what we’ve worked on. We’ll give personalized feedback to each and one and help you move forward. If you don’t have an idea – you will work with another individual who has an idea to mimic the teamwork we need to have in a startup. If needed I will provide some ideas you can choose from as well.
