About 100 domestic game companies have gathered to activate blockchain games.
The Korea Mobile Game Association announced on the 8th that it has launched’Item Bus’, a super-large allied blockchain game project in which more than 100 domestic game companies participated.
It is characterized by having an equal stake without a specific major shareholder, and’Item Bus’ is the first place the association has invested.
They develop a domestic standard model to lay the foundation for revitalizing domestic blockchain games and, in particular, to realize the game item NFT (Non-Fungible Token).
NFT is a term that means’non-replaceable token’. When this is applied to a game item, a separate unique number is applied to the item, and it is classified as a single product.
In the past, when the game disappeared, the item disappeared as well, but after NFTization, it remains on the blockchain network and its ownership is recognized and can be used in blockchain games.
Item Bus announced that it provides SDK (Software Development Kit) and API (Application Program Interface) so that more than 100 game affiliates can easily develop NFT.
However, as domestic blockchain games are being graded late, they plan to enter the Japanese market first with TTX Inc, a Japanese company that is developing NFT business.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced in May of last year that it will promote blockchain technology in the Comprehensive Game Industry Promotion Plan and establish detailed standards for classification in cooperation with the fixed-line direction of the Financial Services Commission such as NFT and exchange operation.
