Bitcoin and Ethereum, the major cryptocurrencies (virtual currencies), are rising, while altcoins (cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin) are falling.
On the 8th at 6 am (Korean time), on CoinMarketCap, a global coin market relay site, Bitcoin recorded $62,787, up 2.57% from 24 hours ago. Bitcoin is trading between a high of $62,847 and a low of $61,355 on the day.
Ethereum, the second largest by market cap, also rose 3.13% to $4632.
In comparison, Solana, the 4th largest in market cap, which surged more than 10% the day before, is declining by 1.85%. This appears to be a correction following yesterday’s surge.
On the previous day, altcoins such as Solana surged, while Bitcoin and Ethereum fell.
In the recent cryptocurrency market, altcoins fall when bitcoin rises, and bitcoins fall when altcoins rise.
At the same time, Upbit, a Korean trading site, is also producing the same image. Bitcoin is up 2.08% and Ethereum is up 2.57%, respectively, while Solana is down 4.13%.
