Ariel Thng: Hi, my name is Ariel Thng, and I am the co-founder and CPO at Nakka. Previously I worked on facial recognition solutions for a government agency. Right now, my focus is to make emerging technologies like blockchain more accessible through uncovering use cases with industry and connecting industry and talent.
Blockcast.cc: What is Nakka? And what is the main objective of your Nakka?
Ariel Thng: Nakka is a venture and community builder based in South East Asia and headquartered in Singapore. We co-create blockchain and AI products with businesses as well as help build their dream team around their needs. In the blockchain space, the “forest” of talent is very scarce, and we believe in planting “seeds” through education and awareness.
One of our recent initiatives was putting together BCTN 1.0 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and it was the first international blockchain conference here. We really wanted a forum to address how blockchain can improve lives, better represent, and involve under-served interests of society.
Blockcast.cc: Can you share with us your views on the current crypto market?
Ariel Thng: In terms of adoption, it’s still early so price discovery must happen. More importantly, I think the potential value of blockchain has not been translated into the real world too much. That is why customer-centric design is at our core – it’s our guiding light. We care about addressing economic and financial inclusion and actively support projects that tackle this issue.
