Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, a leading electric vehicle company in the U.S., added the title “Technoking of Tesla” to the title. The title of’master of coin)’ was added, Bloomberg News reported on the 15th (local time).
In an interview with Bloomberg, Musk asked him to call himself’technoking’ in the future. In addition,’Coin Master (coin craftsman)’ was added to the title of CFO. Coins are cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
Experts believe that such a move suggests that Tesla will further increase its investment in cryptocurrency and make cryptocurrency management more systematic.
Earlier, Tesla bought 1.5 billion dollars (1.7 trillion won) worth of bitcoin last month, igniting the recent bitcoin surge.
Dan Yves, an analyst at Wedbush Securities, said Musk’s new title was “a Musk-style declaration to instill the perception that Tesla is a moving technology company.”
“Tesla will double its cryptocurrency investment in the next year,” he said. “Tesla’s interest in bitcoin is not a fad, not an unusual hobby,” he said.
