On the evening of the 19th Beijing time, in the face of many controversies since the Filecoin mainnet went live, Filecoin and the founder of Protocol Lab Juan Bennet sent more than 40 twitters to respond to everything.
1: He first posted a picture saying that many people around the world are using Filecoin. Of course, most of them are Chinese miners.
(This is a cold sweat for Juan. He does not seem to understand China’s national conditions. In the future, it is unknown how many runs will be made on this picture)
Juan said that most of the people he contacted were down to earth, friendly and competitive, and only a few people tried to abuse the mechanism to create trouble for their own interests.
2: FIP-4
After talking about some new deployment tools, Juan talked about the FIP-4 protocol that immediately releases 25% of mining revenue and 180 antennas. He said that this was not a sudden reaction, but was the result of discussions over the past few weeks. He said that he does not recommend any rapid changes to major cryptoeconomic protocols without proper in-depth analysis. All in all, you don’t want to have a quick demand for big changes, unless there is a security breach.
3: HFIL
He praised the HFIL released by Huobi for reprinting ERC-20, and believes that using HFIL and DeFi, anyone can migrate FIL to Ethereum and use smart contracts to handle various things. Miners can rely on DeFi infrastructure and the loan market. Thanks Huobi.
4: Loan market
Juan began to talk about the current loan market that miners attach great importance to. Because of the lack of collateral and concerns about the fall of FIL, miners hope to use USDT or BTC to lend out FIL for pledge instead of buying at high points in the market.
Juan stated that it has cooperated with TBA to provide small loans to miners. This will not be used for profit, and is small. It will not help miners to fully assume the demand for pledges (oversold machines), and only allow miners to borrow for Pledge, there will be a daily limit for borrowing. However, the specific interest and quota data were not disclosed.
5: Talk about miners’ strike
Juan said that the miners’ strike is pure nonsense, the network is not abnormal and the miners are making money. His advice to miners: Many people hope to get rich quickly by using Filecoin without contributing value to the network. This is not how it works, nor is it a reward for the protocol.
6: Responding to market-making disputes again
In the end, Juan scolded Justin Sun again, thinking Justin Sun might fork Filecoin, and warned that any miners who tried to join Justin Sun’s fork project might be deceived.
