[Blockchain Today Correspondent Lee Ji-eun] It was announced on the 20th that MYBIAS, a DAO-based K-pop fan community, participated in the global DAO hackathon and won 3rd place on the community & NFT track.
MYBIAS is a WEB 3.0 service where fans who support K-pop idols can support and receive rewards for their favorite idols by forming a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). Fans can acquire membership NFT to join each idol community DAO and participate in the decision-making process for idol sponsorship activities.
The Global DAO Hackathon, awarded by the MYBIAS team, is a hackathon sponsored by 23 globally recognized blockchain projects such as Near Protocol, Polygon, and Metacartel Ventures. More than 1,000 open source developers participated, and 167 project teams were said to have participated. MYBIAS won 3rd place on the Community & NFT track out of 4 tracks and received 5,000 USDC as a cash prize.
Lee Yoon-woo, CEO of Ragood Company, which operates the MYBIAS service, said, “Through this award, 100 million global K-POP fans have been recognized for their potential to form a fan community based on DAO. We will create a fan community where the contributions of fans who support K-pop idols can be recognized and fans can be fully compensated.”
