Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, an electric vehicle in the US, asked him to call himself a’technoking’ in the future. In addition, the title of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has been changed to’master of coin’ (coin means virtual/cryptocurrency).
Tesla announced on the 15th (local time) that through a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it changed the title of Musk CEO to’Technology King’, and that Jacques Kirkhorn CFO is now calling him’Coinsmith’.
The Financial Times (FT) reported that the state-of-the-art change of title appears to be Musk’s willingness to overturn corporate practices and customs.
Musk is playing an incredibly unique but controversial role as a’disruptive outsider’, FT described.
This willingness to innovate rose again at the end of last month when Tesla announced that it had bought $1.5 billion worth of cryptocurrency Bitcoin.
Dan Yves, an analyst at Wedbush Securities, said Musk’s new title was “a Musk-style declaration that Tesla is an advancing technology company.”
Eves analyst forecasts Tesla will double its cryptocurrency investments in the next year, and said Tesla’s interest in Bitcoin is not a “temporary fad.”
