Iconloop launches ‘COVID-19 vaccination information service’

[Blockchain Today Correspondent Jang Myeong-gwan] ICONLOOP (CEO Kim Jong-hyeop), a representative block chain company in Korea, announced on the 8th that it will introduce a ‘corona 19 vaccination information service’ in its blockchain DID identity authentication app ‘Tup’.

The DID-based ‘Corona 19 Vaccination Information Service’, which will be launched as ‘Twp’, is a service that allows users to safely store and manage their vaccination information confirmed by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC). Since sensitive personal information is not stored on the operator’s server by applying DID (Decentralized Identifier) technology, it is expected to maximize personal information protection and user convenience.

If you install the ‘Tup’ app after being vaccinated against COVID-19, you can receive vaccination information certified by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and check it easily. Users who have been issued this vaccination information by using ‘Tsuk’ can check the number of vaccinations, type of vaccine, date of vaccination, and whether or not 14 days of vaccination have elapsed at a time on the “Corona 19 vaccination information” banner on the home screen. .

In addition, you can use the service through the ‘Jeju Safe Code’ electronic access list in ‘Tsuk’. ‘Jeju Safe Code’ is a service operated by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and ICONLOOP in collaboration with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and ICONLOOP for effective epidemiological investigation and prevention of the spread of COVID-19. You can receive ‘Corona 19 vaccination information’ through the ‘Twp’ app and submit the issued vaccine information when you check-in the ‘Jeju Relief Code’ QR. The ‘Corona 19 vaccination information service’ will be applied to the ‘Jeju Safe Code’ app in December.

ICONLOOP is a DID consortium formed with SKT, Raon White Hat, and Coinplug in June. After winning the order for the <2021 Blockchain DID Concentration Project> hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention After consulting with the company, the DID-based ‘COVID-19 vaccination information service’ has been promoted.

In addition, it will serve as an opportunity to popularize blockchain technology.” He emphasized, “In the past, ICONLOOP, along with Shinhan Bank and NH Nonghyup Bank, applied DID to real-name authentication in the financial sector and used the ‘Jeju Safe Code’ to prevent tourism. He has been leading the field by constantly seeking opportunities to use DID in real life, such as working on Through this ‘COVID-19 vaccination information service’, we will strive to provide the practical value of using DID.”
