SkyWeaver’s cards are tradable NFTs. The player actually owns it and can trade it in the store.

Card economy

SkyWeaver has three levels of cards: basic card, silver card and gold card.

  • Basic cards: These cards are not tradable. They are tied to your SkyWeaver account and obtained through level upgrades.
  • Silver Cards: Can be traded, they can be obtained through ranking rewards and conquering modes.
  • Gold Card: It can be traded, but it can only be obtained through the conquest mode.

Basic card

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

You will be able to unlock basic cards by completing matches, accumulating XP and leveling up. At launch, we will have 500 cards to unlock, and you can use these basic cards to build a deck that suits your game style. All basic cards can be unlocked completely for free, which means that anyone can enjoy playing SkyWeaver, building decks and participating in competitions. Basic cards are not tradable.

Silver card

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

The silver card is a tradable version of the basic card. If you have a silver card, you can sell, trade, give away, collect and use them-the choice is yours! There are four differences between the silver card and the basic card:

  • The silver card has a shiny silver frame instead of a purple basic card frame.
  • Silver cards are tradable, which means they are your property and you can trade them in the market or between friends. Basic cards are not tradable.
  • Silver cards can be obtained by ranking first on the leaderboard every week, buying from other players in the market, or winning conquest competitions. Basic cards can be unlocked for free by playing games and earning XP.
  • You can exchange 1 silver card for 1 conquest ticket. You cannot exchange the basic card for a conquest ticket.

When there are no players in the market to sell cards, who will provide silver cards in the first place?

When the final testing phase begins, we (Horizon) provide initial liquidity to the market. The first small batch of silver cards will launch the market and allow players to purchase silver cards. In order to increase the background, we will distribute 100% of these silver cards to the community in the future.

Gold card

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

The gold card is a trophy version of the card created and obtained by winning all three games in the conquest. More about conquest in this article. The gold card is tradable and has all the functions of a silver card, but has a gold frame and limited supply. Since these gold cards are trophy cards, they are relatively rare and will not be as popular in the market as silver cards. There are three main differences between silver and gold cards:

  • The gold card has a shiny golden border.
  • Gold cards can only be obtained by winning all three games in Conquest, buying them in the market, or trading between friends.
  • “Weekly Gold Coins”: Every week there will be eight (8) different gold card choices that can be won by conquering. In other words, of the 500 different SkyWeaver cards, 8 can be obtained by conquering within a week. At the end of the week, these eight gold card options will no longer be able to win, and you will only be able to get them from other players in the market.

How the weekly gold medal works

Let’s imagine that in the first week, the eight gold choices available are Fun Guy, Pandora, Libra, Gemini, Unstoppable Chop, Burninate, Anchor Drop, and Dual Boot. In one week, 50 interesting guys were won by conquering. This means there will always be 50 Gold Fun Guys*. Therefore, the more conquests performed in a given week, the higher the supply of these weekly gold coins. This also means that all cards need time to exist as gold coins, because we have 500 cards and are counted in the game. Remember, players can only buy silver and gold medals from other players. Horizon does not sell cards.

The same gameplay, different ways to obtain

Compared with the basic card, the silver card and the gold card do not have any game advantages. The main difference between card levels is their appearance, tradability, supply, and how they are created and acquired!

Get a silver card: 3 ways

Method 1: Win weekly ranking rewards

The player who ranks highest on the constructed and/or discovered competitive leaderboard will receive a silver medal. The higher your ranking, the more silver medals you will win. The silver card will be deposited into your serial wallet.

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

This means that the more skilled you are compared to other players, the more likely you are to win a silver medal! These ranking rewards are given out every week, so there is always a reason to play!

Method 2: From other participants in the market

The only way to buy silver is to buy it from other players who sell it on the market. This is the real player-owned economy!

Note: In order to start the economy during the soft start, Horizon will provide a small initial supply of silver to the market, which will then be distributed to the community for free. Horizon will not earn revenue through this initial guidance of the market.

Method 3: Conquer mode to win the game

You can also win silver medals by winning matches in Conquest (a tournament-style competitive game mode). Learn all about conquest in this blog post.

During the conquest, you will receive the following rewards:

  • 0 wins: no tradable rewards, only XP

  • 1 win: 1 tradable silver card + XP

  • 2 wins: 2 tradable silver cards + XP

  • 3 wins: 1 tradable gold card + 1 tradable silver card + XP

Get a gold card: 2 ways

Method 1: Win all games in Conquest mode

By winning all three games in the conquest, you will receive a gold card as your trophy. These trophy gold medals will distinguish the most skilled players from other players.

  • 0 wins: no tradable rewards, only XP

  • 1 win: 1 tradable silver card + XP

  • 2 wins: 2 tradable silver cards + XP

  • 3 wins: 1 tradable gold card + 1 tradable silver card + XP

Method 2: From other participants in the market

You will be able to buy gold coins from other players in the market. However, Horizon will only add an initial supply to the market when each coin is available in the game. This is because the only way a gold card can fake its existence is through the player winning all three conquest matches. For this reason, we need to stick to the scarcity model of gold while ensuring that players can easily trade them in the market. For more information, please refer to the upcoming separate Marketplace blog post.

Remember: when the soft start starts, the silver card and gold card will be reset to 0

Card type

From the combat function, there are 3 kinds of functional cards: unit (unit), spell (spell) and magic (enchants)

  • Unit cards are permanent until they are defeated or consumed by another effect. You can identify them by the polygons of the inner card frame. Units have separate attack and life pools, which can be further strengthened or reduced by various means.

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

Unit cards have five attributes:

  • Mana cost: The mana required to play this unit from your hand.

  • Attached spell: Some units have spells attached to them. These are like any other spells and have their own mana cost, as shown in the upper left corner. As long as you have mana, they can be used in your turn, even the turn you call the unit. You pay the displayed cost from your own mana pool.

  • Abilities: Most units have one or more special abilities. These can be keyword abilities, such as armor and banners, which are shared by many units. Or these special abilities can have unique effects, such as Mighty Steed’s ability to provide armor to your hero (see below for more details).

  • Attack: The attack power of the unit. This is the damage it will cause when it is attacked/attacked by other units and/or opponents’ heroes.

  • Health: This is the damage a unit can take before it is defeated and sent to the discard pile. The damage to the unit is permanent. For example, if a 3 health unit takes 2 points of damage, it will only have 1 health before leaving the game or being healed.

Spell cards are instantaneous effects that can change combat in many ways. For example, they can permanently enhance the attack or life of a unit, immediately destroy or dust the unit, summon several units at the same time, provide life to the hero, destroy specific targets, etc. Once used, the spell card will be discarded.

Mana cost (mana cost): The mana required to use the spell from your hand or from the unit it is connected to.

Skills (abilities): When the spell is used, it will take effect immediately. For example, the rose water spell in the image above will give your hero +6 health the moment you use it. Also, it will apply +1 mana on your next turn.

Magic is unique because they are only found attached to (casted) units or heroes and have an effect on their “casted” units or heroes-for example, magic imprisonment prevents their magical features from attacking, and magic shields will protect them The magic unit is protected from harm.

There are five types of card races: strength, wisdom, heart, agility, and intellect

Skill

These are abilities shared among a large number of units in SkyWeaver. It is a good thing to be familiar with them, because they appear frequently and can completely change the flow of battle.

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

Armor

Whenever an armored unit or hero receives damage from an attack, the armor protects them, and their damage is reduced by 1. It is visually indicated by the glowing energy ring around the unit’s health.

Wither

Whenever a unit or spell causes wither damage to an enemy unit, it reduces the enemy unit’s attack power and health. The dark energy surrounding the unit’s attack is visually indicated.

Banner

Units with flags will increase your hero’s attack power by +1. Multiple instances of superimposed flags provide your heroes with a greater attack boost! It is visually indicated by the gleaming light around the unit art.

Guard

Units with guards can protect heroes from attack. Heroes with guard units present cannot be attacked. It is visually indicated by the shield-shaped frame of the unit.

Stealth

A unit with stealth cannot be attacked until its controlling hero is attacked in the same round. The distortion and haze on the unit are visually indicated.

Life steal

Whenever a unit or spell with life stealing causes damage to an enemy hero, your hero will receive the same amount of healing. Visually indicated by the pink energy vortex attacking surrounding units.

Battle flow

At the beginning of your round, you will:

  1. Draw a new card from your library
  2. Gain +1 maximum mana.
  3. Replenish your mana to the maximum.

After you draw the card and get the mana for that round, you can do any of the following:

  1. Play a unit from your hand (as long as you can pay for its spell cost)
  2. Cast spells from your hand (as long as you can pay for its spell cost)
  3. Implement spells attached to your heroes and/or units-some characters have spells attached to them. You can use these anytime you have Mana to pay for.
  4. Attack with your hero and any “ready” units you have-please note that it takes a turn for new units to be “ready” and usually cannot attack during the round they play.
  5. End your round-this hand over the round to your opponent. Make sure you have played any game you want to play, and made all the attacks you want before the end. If you have nothing to do, the “End Round” button will light up and play a sound, informing you that nothing will be lost when you pass.

Conquest mode

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

Enter with a kind of life. If you lose, you are out. Win once or twice to get a tradable silver card! Win three games to get a rare gold card for tradeable trophies!

Conquest is the next level of competition in SkyWeaver: a single-elimination-style PvP experience, you can trade with 1 silver card or 1 test DAI to enter. If you lose, all you will get is XP, but if you win, you will get prestige and tradable rewards in Sky.

Note: Horizon will not resell the silver cards that players use to enter the conquest. Instead, the silver card was destroyed

Weekly ranking rewards

A certain number of silver medals will be distributed every week to the top players on the ranking construction and discovery leaderboards. We call it ranking rewards. The higher you are on the leaderboard, the more silver cards you will get! The allocation is based on a comprehensive list, sorting players in the apprenticeship ranking and above. Then, these players will be sorted by their position in each level (ie Scholar#13 is higher than Apprentice#4).

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

Weekly ranking rewards give skilled players an opportunity to try and conquer for free by winning silver medals and using or selling their conquest items. In the final testing phase, all players have the opportunity to try the free conquest, because we give each player 50 test DAI.

SkyWeaver Market

Five minutes to understand the "play while earning" card chain game SkyWeaver: Hearthstone on the blockchain

The SkyWeaver market is a peer-to-peer market where players can trade and buy cards directly in the game. Here, you can buy silver and gold cards directly from other players. Moreover, you will be able to sell the cards you own. This is an open player-driven market, which means that the price of cards is not determined by the horizon, but by the players.

Each transaction will be charged a 7.5% market fee, which is automatically included in the price.

play to earn mode

Ranking game-because this is a strategy game, the player who can reach the top of the ranking will get the most rewards. There is a season at the end of each week, and these players will get tradable cards that you can sell or use in your next battle.

Conquer-is the next level of competition provided by Sky Weaver to its players. If you lose, you will be out of the game and win once or twice and get a tradable silver medal. Win three (3) times and unlock a rare and tradeable gold card that you can sell or use in your next battle.

Summarize

From the perspective of internal test results, SkyWeaver is at the top level in the chain game, with excellent art and mature game experience. Through the battle, you can get tradable cards to gain income. It seems that there will be strong competitiveness, but no currency has been issued yet.
