High Sloth Society is brought to you by Heritage DAO (HDAO) which I am a contributor to. HDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization for our cultural heritage. Powered by web3 technologies, we revolutionize the way we collect, protect, share and enjoy cultural heritage. 2) Can you tell us the history of HeritageDAO and High Sloth Society, so people understand its beginning?
It all started with this unfortunate story – Due to Covid-19, the very first private art museum in Korea was forced to put two (2) National Treasures out for an auction out of devastation. This is the very first time in the history of Korea to see such treasures out for a transaction. We heard about this incident 4 days before the auction day and decided to address this in a Web 3.0 way. So, HeritageDAO was initiated just 4 Days before the Auction, ended up raising 900+ ETH and securing a National Treasure in 8 days while raising awareness about this incident across millions of people worldwide.
Now that we have secured our first human heritage, we are going to celebrate the official beginning of the journey of HDAO in the form of a High Sloth Society – and we are inviting you to join us as a member. Secure yours today – Space is limited.
3) Can you tell us about your code of conduct and what it means to be a member of the High Sloth Society?
Yes, We hold ourselves to the highest possible standard that adhere to the following code of conduct:
We believe in our social obligations and responsibility;
We preserve our reputation at High Sloth Society;
We support other Sloths whenever possible;
We act accordingly to the codes above.
We encourage each of our members to create their own story with the sloth owned. As a fellow members of the Society, we strive to support your journey.
For example, we have a Brooklyn-originated distillery that distills Soju in the traditional way, namely Tokki Soju (https://tokkisoju.com/#about-tokki).
As one of the members of a High Sloth Society, they have a plan to introduce a High Sloth Line of Soju, Gin, Vodka, and Whiskey in their own ways.
With the ownership and commercial rights granted to them, they have no problem carrying this forward and we believe that this gives a sense of belonging to other members of the society.
Therefore, it’s only natural for other High Sloths to support them as well.
4) We would love to know about National Korea Treasure #73. Why this piece? What are you trying to achieve?
Basically, National Treasure #73 that we secured is a portable temple that people used to carry around more than 1,000 years ago. Back then, Buddhism was the main religion of Korea – and people carried this to practice their religion anywhere.
With growing members, a need for a place that our members can call home grows bigger. Therefore, we wanted to secure this portable temple to symbolize a place our HSS members can call home.
5) What is the NFT use case for your HSS? What benefits do we have holding an NFT of HSS?
Your HSS NFT grants you membership access to a society whose benefits grow with the members. If you are lucky enough, you may be one of the literal keepers of Treasures with interest in the actual ancient artifact assigned to 1,000 High Sloths (Out of 10,000 mystery boxes).
Even without the interest over the Treasure, your sloth is still awesome and you get access to growing member benefits starting from the following:

(iii) Curated metaverse experience spanning which expands to offline.

7) What are your marketing plans like for the next few weeks? Are there more plans in the future for potentially buying more National Treasures or doing more interesting purchases?
High Sloth Society is basically a decentralized brand that cherishes each member to come up with a creative way of adding value to the High Sloth as a whole. 8) Can you tell us about the EDM festival and what benefits the High Sloth Society has towards this? What other events should we be expecting?
The closest one is the Waterbomb festival (http://waterbombfestival.com) that’s going global this year starting from Korea. For all the festivals that we partner with, our members get free-access to the VIP area with fellow High Sloth DJs and Artists setting up the private stage just for us with a High Sloth line of drinks (Gin, Whisky, Beer, Soju all under the High Sloth) prepared by our fellow member of the society.

In our case, the networks and resources shared by the core HDAO members made it easier for the High Sloth Society to launch in such a short amount of time – which would be a Pro of a DAO. High Sloth Society is a way of reaching out to more members with a shared vision. If things go according to the plan, High Sloth Society should be your ticket to our DAO.
