Iconloop, a domestic blockchain developer, announced on the 7th that it will issue a blockchain-based citizen reporter to reporters in Seoul in 2021. A blockchain-based citizen reporter card serves as a kind of proof of activity.
Citizens reporters in Seoul create content tailored to the level of citizens on the subject of major policies, events, and Seoul life information, and serve to deliver useful news about Seoul to citizens. Blockchain-based reporters are eligible for issuance of reporters from Seoul who were selected through regular recruitment earlier this year.
The Seoul citizen reporter card is issued through a block chain, so forgery or false issuance is impossible. In addition, the issued reporter ID can be easily verified and submitted with ICONLOOP’s Decentralized Identity Identification (DID) service’True’. Trung is a blockchain-based DID identification service developed by ICONLOOP, designated as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission, and is being used for the issuance of DID for the first financial sector in Korea and the Jeju-type tourism quarantine system’Jeju Security Code’.
ICONLOOP CEO Kim Jong-hyup said, “As the importance of personal privacy protection increases and the non-face-to-face environment increases, interest in reliable blockchain technology is increasing while enhancing personal information protection.” Through this, we will continue to strive to create a trustworthy society.”
